The penguins take up their accommodations...the penthouse suite of the Rubio rental accommodations...well perhaps a penthouse studio rather than a suite but impressive never the less... Burnfoot Avenue in Fulham....they seem to share the suburb with a multitude of similarly transplanted families from a diversity of countries...lots of French... Spanish... Australian... Canadians...Swedes... I suppose it you are to temporarily transplant your employees then you owe it to them to provide them with appropriate accommodations... The effect has been to force the less well endowed self funded renters of London into more distance and more affordable real estate markets.. Two million pounds gets you a nice but modest 3 bedroom attached dwelling with the steepest of stairs and the smallest of gardens.... Cars are relegated to street parking.... Find off street space for a vehicle in this area and you name your own price...
The daylight flight may have left the penguins tired but that tiredness is not accompanied by jet lag...arise at a suitable morning hour feeling like new...London has been warned of our pending arrival and has made suitable adjustments to her weather...she turns on a beautiful spring day...
The kids and grandkids take us in hand...out for coffee...5 minutes onwards to Fulham and Bishops palace by the Thames....swings are swung...slides are slid.. Trees are climbed...flowers are smelt.. Squirrels are chased... Friends are greeted....onward to the Sunday market... Grandfather wins hearts...crepes and sausage rolls....
Finish the day with London pizza and French wine.....
