The Adrian puts on breakfast on the roof top... Look up towards the acropolis... Just enough in view to raise the expectations and interest of the penguins... Hard to concentrate on food... Breakfast crumbs even more prevalent that would be the norm... the sparrows harvest the breakfast crumbs.... Care not to deposit bodily waste and appropriate compliance with the hand signals of those guests who do not appreciate their labours serve to ensure that tolerance levels for sparrows are not exceeded... In any event the breakfast so delicious and the view so inviting that little attention is left for the avian cleaning contractors...
We tackle the climb to the acropolis... 15 minutes of significant effort for the penguins... It is 9:00 so the crowds are yet to be significant... Slowly... Slowly...
Perhaps we could have started a little earlier... By the time we reach the entrance a queue has developed.... The cursed tour boat groups congregate... Their leaders demonstrate their status... Some with signs... Some with whistles...

Wander back to the Plaka... Back into cafeYdros... Greeted like old friends.... Listen to a group of Australian off a tour boat... Perhaps they are not ugly Australians but they do have tendencies in that direction... Look at that... A little hop on hop off train... The stop just at the corner... Resolve to ride rather than walk... 50 minutes... Around the agora... Through the flea market.. Past Hadrian's Gate... Past the parliament... Past views of the acropolis...through the Plaka... Great fun... Alight at Cafe Ydros again ... We are greeted with even more enthusA great day... Let's not spoil it... Head for the airport early... Back to London...
